Free Childrens Books and Young Adult Books for Kindle: Linked List of Over 1,000 Free Classics For Boys, Girls and Teens Review

I read hundreds of the books from this linked list as a kid, both from my father's old collection and from second-hand bookstores. I tried to include all of the classics for kids that are available for free through Amazon, and also concentrated on the series type books I remember so well. Approximately a quarter of the 1000+ listed books are part of series, and these I list by series as well as by author.


This list of free classic children's and young adult eBooks works best on Kindle 3 and iPad. If you click the linked title, it will bring you directly to the Amazon product page for the free eBook in the Kindle store. Many of the book series in this list were composed by various authors under a single pseudonym, such as Victor Appleton for the Tom Swift series. I use the pen names in favor of real names since that's the only way most of us recognize these books. Some women, like Mary Lousia Molesworth, chose to published under their husband's name, so that "Mrs. Molesworth" was the name on the books, and that's how I list them. Some of the books I would have liked to include simply aren't available free on Amazon, like Dicken's "David Copperfield", or full versions of "Tom Sawyer" and "Huckleberry Finn" from Twain.
